Half term Halloween hunt for Winchester school kids

Winchester school children will be able to take part in a free Halloween hunt this October half term, in a competition arranged by Winchester Business Improvement District (BID).

Participants will attempt to find nine Halloween themed words hidden on pumpkin signs in the windows of local businesses, before handing them into either of two locations to be entered into a halloween themed prize draw.

The ‘Spooky Winch Word Hunt’ will attempt to help promote local businesses and the city, as well as providing a fun activity for children and families during a COVID-hit Halloween.

A spokesperson for Winchester BID has said: “This is a great opportunity for us to work with local businesses and other local partner organisations to help promote everything that Winchester has to offer this October.

“After the impact of the COVID-19 lockdown earlier this year, the Spooky Winch Word Hunt is a great way of introducing people to all the different areas of the city safely and is a fun familiarisation activity centred around the heart of our beautiful heritage city.”

The Halloween hunt will run from Saturday the 16th October to Saturday 31st October.
