People can still pick their perfect pumpkin this Halloween, as Sunnyfields Farm, a Totton based farm shop, has changed its usual Halloween event, and are now offering socially distanced pumpkin picking.

From Tuesday 27th October to Halloween day, Sunnyfields are holding 30-minute sessions for people to pick their pumpkins, as well as offering night time sessions where people can do the events surrounded by “atmospheric lights for an extra special experience”.

Tickets for the event are £2 each plus the cost of the pumpkin depending on the size, and pumpkin picking will be available everyday with arrivals stopping at 7:30pm. This cost also includes parking as well as the use of a clean wheelbarrow to carry the pumpkins in. The pumpkins grown come in all shapes, sizes, and colours, and Sunnyfields’ also have a variety of squashes available for purchase to add an interesting twist to this year’s festive carvings.

However, in an effort to reduce the number of people coming in at one time, the farm is selling limited tickets dependent on slots. They also will not be hosting their usual tractor and trailer rides, pumpkin café, or onsite carving to reduce grouping of people.
