Over a hundred new jobs created in Winchester
About 100 new jobs will come as a result of popular London restaurant The Ivy opening its Winchester location.
Alongside the eating place other popular shops will also makes its way into the city, with Turtle Bay, Tesco and TK Maxx adding to the selection of shopping and dining places.
Councillor Guy Ashton said: “This will widen the range of shops that are on offer in Winchester.
“It’s all about keeping Winchester being a great shopping and tourist destination and a great place to live and work.”
The job boom comes after a challenging year for Winchester business after L.K Bennet, Next, Jaeger and Zoe Jewellers closed down all within a few months.
