More than 20,000 people are expected to attend the Winchester Round Table bonfire night which raises money for various charities in Winchester.

The evening will start with entertainment at the Guildhall and end with the fireworks display.

Steve Cross Vice Chair of Winchester Round Table told WINOL: “This year’s event has the new addition of a spectacular light show to compliment the traditional fireworks, and more interactivity with our social media screens and Snapchat filters to entertain the family.”

Mr Cross went on to say: “We were lucky enough to have profits of over £70,000 last year which meant we could do even more for people in Winchester who really need it, and ticket sales this year continue to show that we will be able to make a real difference over the next 12 months”.
