Tickets for Winchester’s annual fireworks night are selling quicker than ever.

The event brings 21,000 people to the River Park Leisure Centre on the 5th November every year and is run by volunteers from Winchester Round Table.

There will be a procession led by the Royal Artillery Band through the city centre, lighting of the bonfire and finally the fireworks display to end the evening.

Steve Cross, vice chair at Winchester Round Table, said: “We expect the event to sell out in advance, as per last year.

“The Winchester charity Bonfire and Fireworks continues to grow each year and is the most popular one-off event in the city.”

This year will be the 58th Winchester Round Table Bonfire and Fireworks event.

The event usually raises over £40,000 which goes to local charities.

Steve Cross went on to say: “We are continually surprised and delighted by the generosity of local people.”
