Film fans can enjoy a variety of masterclasses and workshops from international experts as Southampton Film Week continues.

Unusual venues across the city are host to film premieres and talks over the next few days. Many of the events are free.

Susan Beckett, Director of Southampton Film Week said: “Southampton used to have a popular festival in the 80s and 90s, and people always said we should get another one going – so we did.

“There’s always something unusual going on. This year we have the Vintage Mobile Cinema which seats around 20 people and shows short features.”
She added: “We are playing our part in giving opportunities to people and educating their film tastes. It puts Southampton on the map for film, culture and tourism.”

The film festival is in its ninth year and displays work from across the world.
