AlexanderDesign has released its plans for St Peters restoration after the church burned down in 2014.

The plans have been well received by church patrons who say: “We’re now on the starting blocks for the rebuild – great news and everyone is delighted.”

Development on the plans will progress soon.

The plans show a hybrid of St Peters heritage with a modern flair and have been approved by East Hampshire District council.

In the approval letter the society for the protection of ancient buildings said: “We are delighted to see such a well-considered scheme proposed for this church and we would like to take to take this opportunity to wish everyone success with it.”

St Peters church is over 800 years old, originally built in Norman times with various additions over the years and was the heart of Ropley.
