New Cornish bakery opens in Winchester
A long-awaited bakery has opened its doors in Winchester city centre.
The Cornish Bakery welcomed customers for the first time this morning in the building that was previously occupied by clothing chain Phase 8.
The company has over 60 bakeries in the UK – with the new one in Winchester being number 64.
Mark Tomlinson, manager of the Winchester store, said that he was “happy with the turnout” and that there was a “trial opening which included their family and friends” over the weekend.
The café / bakery had plenty of seating on their two levels, with both floors being open-planned.
One of the customers, Holly Richardson who attended with her little girl said that the food and drink were “reasonably priced” and that she enjoyed the “vibe” of the place.
